HELP for SPEAKERS to register
If you wish to register as a PRESENTER, follow these steps:
- Click in >> Register
- Check the "Presenter" box
- Complete your PERSONAL INFORMATION. Upload a picture from your PC with "Search Picture"
- Write your address in Place of Residence
- Complete your email in order to comunicate with other users.
- Choose your profession. If it's not listed, write it in the text box.
- Upload your CV, determining its location with SEARCH on your PC.
It is very important for those who wish to contact you to be able to access your CV, please upload it.
- Choose a USER (Nick) and a PASSWORD.
- Save the settings with "SAVE".
You already are a user registered as a Speaker.
Among other features, you already have access to your own web site at fontem: www.fontem.com/yourusername.
- You can review the data uploaded in MY PROFILE or use the features provided:
- Show/Edit Profile - update your personal data
- Upload/Manage Presentations or other Documents to upload a presentation, modify, add information etc. By clicking here, you can Upload documents as well as Eliminate Selected Items you wish not to publish in fontem any longer.
Write a description for the topic dealt with to help other users to search accurately in fontem. Point out key words that can help direct potential users interested in your text (You need not repeat those words already used in your Title or in your Description).
Identify up to 3 themes your text is related to.
Determine if you prefer Access to be Public, Personal (Only you have access) or Private (only those that receive the password you provide can access the document).
Look for your document on your PC with Search.
Determine if it is a presentation (eventually you can upload other types of documents: letters, press articles, etc.). Write the title you want it to be published with at fontem..
- With your feet on the ground To upload your favorite links and access them on the world globe at your top right hand corner.
- Determine Themes of Interest so fontem can keep you updated on events and presentation registered under those themes.
- State Suggestions you think might better the web site.
Begin by viewing suggestions placed by other users and vote for them.
- Invite a friend to enlarge fontem's community.
Now you can return to Home (by clicking of fontem's logo) and enjoy all the information available for you there.
Remember you will always be able to change your user type at any time. Just open the View/Edit Profile and mark the box/s you wish to modify.

HELP for ORGANIZERS to register
If you wish to register as an ORGANIZER (of congresses, conferences and general events), follow these steps:
- Click in >> Register
- Tick the Organizer box
- Determine if you wish to register as a company and upload its logo if desired.
- Type the E-mail address of your company, your Web site if you have one, and state if it is a PCO (Professional Congress Organizer)
- Outline your function in the company
- Complete your PERSONAL INFORMATION. Upload a picture from your PC with "Search Picture"
- Write your address in Place of Residence.
- Complete your email in order to comunicate with other users.
- Choose your profession. If it's not listed, write it in the text box.
- Upload your CV, determining its location with SEARCH on your PC.

- Agenda enables you to view an Event you have previously uploaded, as well as uploading a new event, or deleting a selected one from the site.
- When you select Create Event, you will be able to type in:
- Title (the name of the congress or the conference)
- Venue of the event (name of room)
- Country (where the event will take place), State, City, Address.
- Starting date, closing date and final registration date.
- Theme and Type. If no Type on the list is adequate, write it on the right.
- Themes (those that will be dealt with during the event).
- Target audience and Certifications (which will be given the attendee).
- Requirements (in order to be able to attend to the event).
- Event Web. This piece of information is important so fontem's users can verify if the event has suffered any last minute alteration in its program.
- Now click on SAVE and your event will be published on fontem.
By using the designated areas in the site, you can add more information to your event:
- Speakers. You may now publish the name of the presenters that participate at the event. Presenters must be registered in fontem. When typing part of his/her name or last name in the space at your right, a window will drop with the presenters that have published related material. Click on the add presenters button and upload the following .
- Related subjects/materials. Upload the documents you wish to explain your event more accurately. Choose a Title, make a Description of the document, locate it with the search button and click in Add document. Now you can upload new related material.
- Related links. Choose the link that serves best to explain your event, write down the name of the link, the web address and click on Add Link. Now you can upload .
- Services. Available soon.
- Sponsors. Upload the logos belonging to the sponsors of the event. They will appreciate the publicity in fontem, and it's free of charge
Now you can return to Home (by clicking of fontem's logo) and enjoy all the information available for you there.

With your Feet on the Ground is an extra fontem provides for its users.
It has no direct relationship with the contents of the web site, nevertheless, when a user is on a long trip to attend or participate in a congress, “With your Feet on the Ground” will provide you with very useful features:
If you click on the word icon on the top right hand corner, the “With your Feet on the Ground” selection will drop giving you access to:
News with links to newspapers and TV channels throughout the world.
Telephone directories Language Dictionaries
Currency Exchange with the exchange rate of many countries and conversion tables.
Plans and Maps of Cities priceless plans and maps when out of town.
The Weather Report useful information when packing your suitcase.
Language Dictionaries the best tool when in doubt with idiomatic expressions and far from you dictionary.
Other to upload your favorites on any other topic.
In order to upload your own favorites here and be able to access them from any PC, you will need to have previously uploaded them. Follow the instructions provided below.
To Upload your favorites
- Register
- Click on My Profile
- Click on With your Feet on the Ground
- Use the following window to type your name, web address and category of each of the favorites you wish to always have access to.

Let’s see some practical uses

Imagine Marisa Martínez has just registered at fontem.
Marisa chose marim as her user name
Marisa now has her own exclusive personal web site at: www.fontem.com/marim

Marisa’s personal data and photograph will be available to anyone who visits her site; he/she will also be able to download public papers/documents that Marisa has uploaded. If Marisa has granted access via password, he/she will also be able to access her private documents.
Marisa can add her web site address in the material she sees fit, such as electronic signatures, personal cards, personalized stationary. .
People that can access Marisa's personal web will always be able to view her up to date CV.
Her friends will also know when Marisa changes any of her personal data such as phone number or address via her web site. Her papers and their modifications will also be available with ease.
If Marisa is seeking a new job, her CV will be always up-to-date for the selection of the position, even if it takes months to make the actual decision.
