iSmithers and Smithers Rapra are bringing the next in their successful series of REACH conferences to Chicago in April 2010.
As the 30th November 2010 Registration deadline fast approaches and TSCA reform gains momentum, pressure is mounting on American businesses to focus on key priorities to fulfil their obligations under REACH. With many experts stating that lead registration dossiers should be submitted to ECHA by June 2010 - six months before the official deadline - it seems that time really is of the essence.
In recent months concerns over the implementation of the new harmonized system for the classification, labeling and packaging of substances and mixtures (CLP) have been growing. The impact of CLP on REACH could be vast with more substances expected to be classified as hazardous, and disagreements on data, classification and labeling and opt-outs from SIEFs becoming a real possibility.
The management of substances of very high concern (SVHC), the associated candidate list and industry's approach to SVHC declaration and testing methods has further fuelled the debate. With so little time remaining, what are the authorities looking for as proof of compliance and what is the best strategy for industry to adopt to meet these requirements?
Whilst you cannot control the economy or your competition, you can ensure that you fully understand the changes that REACH brings to your business processes and implement these changes effectively. iSmithers and Smithers Rapra are currently recruiting speakers for this, the 8th international conference in their successful series of REACH conferences. If this is your area of expertise please consider submitting a paper at this high profile event. |
